So, I am 21, Developer in Brazil, I've been working for 3 years at a Fortune 500 company that used to build business machines... As you may guess, everything is very bureaucratic here, I like the people, the office is was very nice, but my current work is fairly easy, and I have some free time, which I've been using to study and get better at newer technologies.
Recently I got a job offer from a way smaller company, related to a technology that I have been studying and feel very comfortable working with it, and honestly the main thing that caught my eyes on this offer is that it pays twice my current salary.
I talked to my manager, not about the new job offer, but about how I've been feeling limited on my current role, the company is hierarchically huge and I feel there is not much he can do for me, he said he was going to talk to some people that can help me fit on a more technically challenging role, but I know that if this happens, the process will take months and at the end of the day my salary will not be near the offer I received.
Sounds very obvious what I need to do here, huh? But... I am afraid of leaving, I may be afraid of the change, this is my first IT job, I come from a poor family in a underdeveloped country, when I was 16 I was working the hell out at another not-IT-related low paid job and going to my last year at high school at night, while trying to learn programming and studying to get a scholarship at an IT-related college course so I could get here, this job has been changing mine and my family's life, I've met a lot of amazing people that helped so f****** much.
I feel very lucky for all of that, my mind is currently full of "ifs" but deep down I feel I need to go...
What should I take into account before having my final decision?
