Currently working as a customer service supervisor. I’m exhausted and tired of working in a client facing role. How can I pivot my career?

To be transparent I have 6 years of experience at a large tech company working in customer service (phone, chat email). 2 of those have been in management where I lead a team and talk to angry clients as well that ask to speak to a manager.

I am beyond exhausted from my client facing career. I feel great resentment in the fact that I’m still talking to clients all the time despite my experience level. I really need to find a career path that I can pivot to where I don’t have to be on the front lines talking to angry clients all the time. I’m truly burnt out and I need to find something more sustainable where I won’t always be resentful of my job.

Can someone help me think of career paths where I can leverage all of my leadership and customer service skills to a less client facing role?

I really am sick of spending 5 hours per day talking to angry clients on a 1-800 number. Idk how much longer I can take it before I just lose motivation.

For context or some direction I was thinking maybe applying to be an HR Generalist or maybe an entry level Operations role. I’d be taking a pay cut but it would definitely be worth it for my mental sanity
