I've been at my job for one year. Overall I love it and don't want to screw anyone over. My job is steadily busy but due to the nature of the work there is a particular busy season from Aug-Oct. Very slammed during this time. My fiance and I had planned to get married last june but canceled due to covid. My fiance would like to get married in September, giving plenty of time for vaccine roll out, travel safety, etc.
Knowing what I know about my works seasonal busy time, would I be an asshole for requesting a week off for wedding/honeymoon? Ideally we would've been married last june but this summer doesn't feel quite soon enough and we don't want to wait another year. I also know they are hiring 1-2 additional people right now (small team). Thoughts?
