I applied for this fantastic position and got interviewed for it this past Monday. HR sent me an email with a SkillSurvey link, where I have to input 5 references, 3 of which have to be my past managers/bosses. I had no problem filling it out and I notified all of my references to expect an email where they have to take a quick survey. 4/5 of my references filled it out within 24 hours; however, the only reference I have left (who was also my boss) is in Sudan for 3 weeks and told me he will fill it out when he gets back. He was one of the references I was looking forward to since he is a big doctor and I enjoyed working at his clinic.
I don’t know what to do? Do I notify HR about this? Or is 4 references enough? I’m just not sure if they will accept 4 since the SkillSurvey specifically asks for 5.
