I'm the top candidate, but they want to add to the "resume pool" prior to making an offer.

How would you respond to the following email I received from a job that I'm still very interested in?

Background: I've had 3 interviews for an IT job and did very well, answered every question they asked accurately and got along great with the 4 interviewers. I get this message today:

"The team has decided to extend the process to get a larger pool of resumes going. You are still the favorite candidate and they really enjoyed speaking with you. I will continue to let you know how it goes, but I understand that you can’t wait around. Please let me know if you’re still interested and I will keep you posted."

My response was simple and I asked for their timeline, but is this normal? Maybe they just gave me TMI and I'm overthinking it.
