After losing my job to the pandemic last May, and filling out close to 1,000 job applications over the course of the last 10 months, as well as sitting for three interviews and getting one offer that I ended up rescinding my acceptance of, I finally have an interview for a job that seems perfect for me!
It pays quite well, has awesome benefits and healthcare, and is work from home! I legitimately could not ask for more, being immunocompromised/chronically ill. Pre-COVID, if I got an interview I got the job; I usually landed interviews for jobs I really wanted. The past year has been a humbling reality check, but I’ve definitely learned several hard lessons and am ready for my break. I want my next post to be captioned, “I got the job!!!”
It’s tomorrow morning at 8 AM EST! Please wish me ✨luck!✨ I need this so badly. I did not qualify for unemployment even though I was fired, and my hearing for the appeal is on the 29th. Wish me luck for that as well! I have ample proof that I didn’t quit, and that the employer denied my claim out of spite. Emails are such a blessing. Getting back pay for almost a year of unemployment and starting a new job in April would be an incredible ending to this horrific saga. I’d finally be able to move out of my black mold infested studio!
