A tale as old as time. Went to college, got a useless degree made even more useless by my lack of applicable career experience. I need a change. The problem is that I don't know how. I can't afford to go back to school. I have bad credit. I can't even afford a $60 online class. My current job is a very niche low-skill lab job that only requires a high school diploma and no certification, so I'm not qualified to work in most "real" lab environments.
Is programming really my only semi-free path to learning direct and transferrable skills in another career?
