Is it wise to make connections at every job no matter the job?

I work at warehouse but Im also in school. Since I don't plan on being here for any longer, I haven't really stepped outside of my comfort zone aside from a view times.

And again since it's a warehouse job and not my career I don't really see the point to do this. Just want to know am I doing more harm then good here.
