I can see that I'm enabling HireRight to look at my credit by accepting their terms.
My credit is very bad (multiple open past due accounts totalling $85k) and my employer is a FinTech. The one bright spot is that I'm a software engineer, so I don't directly handle customer accounts, though I may indirectly.
Does HireRight send the credit check results to the employer?
If not, is it used just to cross verify the rest of the background check? The rest of my picture is good, other than my horrible credit.
