I was headhunted on LinkedIn for a position in the bay area. Fortunately or unfortunately the company really enjoyed our discussion sure far, my last interview will be during early January 2021.
CONS I'm torn, basically I'm my own boss of my department. If I take this new job, I'll be a small first in a big pond.
Pre-COVID, my current job allows me to travel all over the world. This new job will probably not provide the same opportunity.
I see myself retiring with this company. I'm only in my 30s but have had quite a few jobs before landing at where I am now. It's an amazing company with a great company culture.
PROS If I actually get this job offer, they will offer me a 50% raise in salary. I have no need for relocation.
I know some of the employees at this new potential employer and all of them love their jobs.
This is a start up company that's looking to double in size in the next year, options is a potential bonus if they IPO. I'm also afraid that they might be growing too quickly.
If I actually get the job I thought about using it to ask for a raise, 50% is likely not going to happen. Also, I just got a promotion last year.
Any advise will be great. Thanks ahead.
