So I'm currently looking for work to reduce my commute in addition to broadening my skills and it went a little too well.
Just today I got two requests for background checks and anticipate offer letters shortly after the conclusion.
One of these positions is REALLY what I want to do: be all/do all IT, small team, support role, cutting edge technology.
The other position is only kind of what I want to do, with some of what I don't have a desire to do: touch everything IT, small team, project management role, old technology.
Both places have the exact same retirement benefits. The first place pays about what I make today, and is also hourly with overtime opportunities. The second place pays a little more, but is salary. I want to give the best opportunity for the first place, without completely throwing out the second, but just yesterday I was seriously considering pulling my application since I don't really want to do project management.
I just don't know what to do. I don't want to waste the second place's time, but don't want to be left with no options if the first place doesn't work out.
