Relocate for a job I'm not crazy about vs. have a gap on my resume?

As I've posted here before, I'm probably going to get fired in January. I would REALLY like to find a job before that happens, because I don't want prospective employers to call my company's HR office and find out I was fired. I may just have to deal with that when it happens. But in the meantime, I'm applying for just about any job I'm qualified for, even if I have to move.

I have an interview coming up for a job that is very much like my current one. It's not my first choice because my current job is a terrible fit for me. It's also in another state.

What's worse, relocating to take a job that's probably not a great fit, or having to explain that I was fired? On the other hand, is there a graceful way to say I was fired without saying anything negative about my company? They didn't do anything wrong - it's just way too much pressure, chaos, and long hours for me. Of course, I wouldn't say that in an interview because overworking your employees seems to be the norm.

Thank you in advance.
