Advice

So I went through two rounds of interviews for this company and even did a writing test a day before Thanksgiving. It's been a month since that writing test and I have yet to hear if I got the job or not. I've emailed the hiring manager to find out and she said that "the interview process is taking longer than expected" but that she'll reach out for any updates as soon as she gets one. This correspondence happened about two weeks ago. Still radio-silence from them. Should I try and get an update from her before the New Year? or should I wait after the holidays? I just need some closure, if I didn't get the job.
