Hey guys. I’m in a bit of a dilemma and need your advice.
I graduated in May and have been looking for a job since. Well a month ago when I pretty much gave up looking, a job landed in my lap unexpectedly. I went through four rounds of interviews and got the call back that I was offered a job in another state. They gave me two weeks to move down and my first day is the 28th. This is where I’m having issues.
They emailed me the contract, I filled in all this paper work, met my team, sent in the referrals they requested, got my background check and everything. They even offered me 5k to relocate. It’s the 19th today, and I already had my car shipped down yesterday. However, I also got a text yesterday as well that they were going to need me to go through a drug test. I ate an edible a month ago and I’m pretty damn sure I won’t pass if I was to take that drug test. At this point I feel like I’m about to fail, which means everything I just went through was for nothing. My car is already on its way down there, i canceled all my services, returned my apartment, I have a flight booked for Wednesday and my deadline to get this drug test done is due by Monday.
I already kind of get the jist of where this is gonna go, but what do you guys recommend I do? I’m already hating myself for taking that edible weeks ago. I just wasn’t expecting any of this and how fast everything was moving. I just really was shocked when they wanted that drug test so last minute. I just felt like before everything else, they would’ve wanted me to do that first.

Edit: Now that I’m looking back at my calendar, I’d say 3 weeks ago on the edible, not a month :(
