Hey, so I’m a masters student atm, decided to do a masters as without one I could not get a job. Honestly! Its almost like I had ‘DONT HIRE ME’ written on my forehead. I got the highest grades in Analytical Chemistry. Now in the masters im back to the painful job application process. I find this sole destroying. The relentless ‘what your greatest achievement’.. lk jesus im 24, living at home, no criminal record, an average social life, lived a life of caution as all my life I was told ‘fail to plan, plan to fail’ and ‘work hard now, reap the reward, reap now, work hard forever’. Also my greatest achievement on paper is my grades... lk how depressing! 5 year of education as my honest greatest achievement... THEN comes the dreaded assesment centres! A test that says ‘wow welcome to round one, your worthy of our test, oh this test is just a lil test to see where to fit in iur company’ AND YET because I didn’t press a button quick enough or I didn’t put the situations in a correct order you get the ‘Sorry, you are not a fit for our company’. Like GET FUCKED! I have two degrees, no violent criminal record, industry experience and YET I am not a right fit .... my question: Has any experienced this endless frustration? I graduate in July, I want to move to London to finally move out of my parents and be an independent person and actually utilize 5 years of college. Any tips from someone who’s experienced this?
