PA is a state where our governor requires masks. When I went for my interview, I saw everyone in the office had one on and felt it was obvious the employer was following the orders. We are at 12.5% here.
I started my first day of work today. My boss was complaining all day about the mask she was wearing. I noticed one man was NOT wearing one at all. At the end of the day, she told me I will be training with him and admitted he does not follow rules and is to be "let go" after my training. I am concerned about the training and his inability to take the virus seriously. I will have to watch him on a computer and sit next to him for 8 hours. He will give me subpar training and I really don't want to sit anywhere near someone like that. It's also impossible to see a computer screen from 6 feet away.
Both of my parents have had cancer. I have a 15 year old child who just had her school shut back down. I also have epilepsy and a high fever causes seizures every time. My seizures are violent and I always end up in the ER.
I gave up my unemployment to go back to work. I am thinking about quitting because of everyone's lack of concern. When I was walking out with my boss, she blatantly made fun of another employee who complained about her not wearing a mask then tore hers off saying "If I get Corona, it was nice knowin' ya!".
