Hello all in r/jobs!
I recently graduated with my bachelors degree in criminal justice at a university in Michigan. At the start of my education, I really wanted to be a police officer. As time went along, I got married and bought a home with my now husband. Given the circumstances of policing in the US right now, I quickly changed my mind and probation was something I was more interested in.
It seems like every job I have applied for that applies to probation is just taken.
I currently work at a fast food chain as a salaried manager, and I hate it. Ever since I got my degree, I have become more and more impatient with my job, and it’s causing me to not have as much motivation towards my work.
Any recommendations on how to feel a little better? I applied for a state position in foster care/CPS and they selected me to move forward in the interview process, but I know with state jobs it always takes a bit to hear anything back.
