So I’ve been interviewing with a company (Company A) for the last 4 weeks. Things are going great and they have stated they want to proceed to give me a verbal offer. They’ve given me a glowing reviews from the interviews and have stated that the feedback from 8+ interviewers was very positive.
However, I’m halfway through the interview process with another company (Company B). This interview process started shortly after I started interviews with Company A. I’ve let the recruiter at Company A know this and they have expressed earnest interest in knowing the state of my interview process with Company B.
What’s odd though is they aren’t giving even a verbal, 24 hour offer until my interviews with Company B have concluded. They’ve only said they have an offer waiting and they know the numbers of total comp and the benefits package. I feel like this is odd and that if Company A was serious, they would just give me an offer and we could go from there. They have stated that they are okay with waiting until these interviews with Company B are wrapped as well.
I’ve told Company A that I’m waiting on their offer and that knowing a number of total comp will help me make a decision. But they still are adamant about waiting.
Any one else ever had a company’s recruiters do something similar? Is this a bad sign?
