I got this job after moving back to my hometown a few months ago. The work is fine, but the management is kinda rude and the scheduling is ridiculous. I don’t expect for them to bend of backwards for me, or even to give me a regular schedule. The problem is that the schedule is completely erratic (anywhere form 5-30 hours per week) and they don’t send it out until as late as 12 hours before I’m scheduled. Yes, this is illegal in my state.
If this were corporate, I wouldn’t worry about being honest about this reason. The trouble is that this is a small, local business, and I’m afraid that saying anything bad.
It’s worth noting that I was at my previous jobs for years, but I do worry that leaving so early will make me look unreliable. Still. I hate it.
