Last time I posted about what will be the 3rd and last job on my applications for job history and this is one I was fired from for cause. My friend helped me get the job and I was texting him today about using him as the reference. The only thing is I don't know that this is the best way to go about it. It asks for supervisor name and company phone number. I was gonna put my friend as the supervisor (and at times he basically was) but now I'm questioning how to handle this.
My actual supervisor was probably technically the same guy who called me to let me know about being let go as I had met with him before. I believe he was fair with me. Do you think I should give him a call and explain the situation and ask if he can give me a good recommendation? I'm just concerned as I have 4 months to find a job before our plant is moving to Canada and so most of the "grunts" will be let go after December.
I'm trying to apply to a place my coworker just accepted a job from. They asked if she knew anybody else and she mentioned me. So I think I'd have a decent shot but I want to approach the application in the best way possible.
