Hey y'all. I work as a cad technician at a steel company. The pay is really good for my age but after difficulty with the change in responsibilities, I feel constantly stressed everyday and I come back home feeling awful.
I currently am 20 years old, have one year of education at ut Austin (didn't finish associates) and I have $5000 saved. I've been wanting to make the decision to quit for months but have tried to keep giving this job that I have now worked at for a year. I'm really worried about taking this kind of risk because I live with my parents and make good money so logically I should stay here and keep saving to have a larger amount. HOWEVER, my gf lives in Austin, my job has me very unhappy and I just sometimes wish for a job that I can go in for my 8 hours and leave feeling accomplished. Nowadays I go in for 8-15 hours and still feel behind because our previous head of the department quit and they also fired another guy before that. I have gone from new guy to head of 3 branches in cad very quickly and I CAN do the job but I just feel like it's a lost cause in terms of feeling good about it everytime I go in. Any advice?
Edit: also I know I left out a lot of details so ask away because I'm really trying to get anyone's advice on this
