Hi r/Jobs
I have a background in Marketing, and I keep hearing "Video is the next big thing!", "98% of Traffic in 2021 will be video!"
Naturally like any interested kid, I've started to test things on YouTube and I've been creating some videos, fine-tuning angles, colors, lighting, audio and more.
But I'm struggling to find jobs that leverage video skill-sets that aren't just Video Editing.
I've found a few video editing jobs, but I can't help but feel like there are tons of other roles that also revolve around video. Things like being the on-camera presence, or writing scripts/copy for marketing videos, working the camera, etc.
Do these jobs not exist or am I just looking for the wrong things? Searching something like "Video" on to LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed returns very minimal results that don't really have anything to do with Video Production.
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong, thanks!
