How to get a job with animals and people?

Hi Reddit, I'm a biomedical engineering student that wants to change career to pursue his dream. I would like to start a job involving animals and people, in my ideal future I'm leading kids during a field trip in a wildlife reserve I'm also really into volunteering, but I'd need to find something I can do to not totally rely on my parents' finances and have chances to have a future I'm really confused and don't know what to do, I'd really need some useful suggestions Thanks to anyone who'll be able to help me!
