Female co worker upset after asking about my dating preferences

I have an Older female coworker who sits in the cubicle next to me. She asked me why I didn’t wanna date this friend of mine and I said I wasn’t attracted she asked why I wasn’t attracted and I responded I wasn’t attracted because of her weight. After that things got awkward and she said oh I didn’t think you were that type of guy. I guess now it’s better to be more personal at work but when there’s only a couple of coworkers in the office you can’t help but want to talk to somebody otherwise it’s too quiet. I feel though that I have the right to be attracted to somebody with a weight that I like. And I shouldn’t be shamed for that. What should I do now? I’m also new to this office.
