Pivot from Marketing Design to Product Design (textiles/apparel), NZ based

I currently work in Marketing/Advertising design (design team management / art direction) and I'm looking to somehow pivot to product design -- specifically textiles and technical apparel. The jobs that have piqued my interest are Product Design Lead/Management roles at athletic apparel companies like Icebreaker, The North Face, and Lululemon, so something along those lines would be the end goal. I have a BFA in Studio Arts, but I need more knowledge about textiles. I don't have the means to go back to school full time, but I am open to classes I can take while also working during the day. I'm based in Auckland, NZ so I think that limits my options a bit. Anyone have any advice?
