Am I screwing myself over for refusing to have a LinkedIn? I tried it for literally 5 minutes before deleting it. It just feels like a pretentious version of Facebook. That being said, I don't really have any other forms of social media either.
Also, I don't really have anyone in my life to add as a connection or whatever they're called. I didn't network in college. I'm currently unemployed, 23 year old recent college grad. I've had a few interviews but nothing about LinkedIn has ever come up. However I see posts asking about LinkedIn all the time as if it's an expected thing to have in the workforce. Is it really so essential?
I won't be making one either way, just wondering people's thoughts.
