First thing first, I love the job itself.
I've been working in the company for ÷/- a year : I knew they were bad news about two months in after hearing nightmare stuff from other employees. They were basically like " get out now " and I wish I had listened. Toughed it out because I love(d) the actual job.
Everybody I was working with back then quit, the company has an incredibly high turnover rate, most people stay for a couple months tops. Dodgy office culture, anxiety generating, no clear direction etc...
I used to be treated well ( in comparison to the rest of the team ) due to my high productivity but it's reached the point where nothing is enough for the boss those past few weeks and he keeps asking for more while being absolutely horrid : I'm now constantly blamed for every thing that goes wrong ( in departments that have nothing to do with mine ) , every bad day etc to the point where he straights up insults me, makes fun of me, belittles me in front of my team etc I will often get pulled in the office for absolutely childish stuff such as " I heard you said that or that (insert minor thing he didn't like )" now I don't even talk to my coworkers because anything could be used against me. The atmosphere is depressing, I dread going there every morning.
Only reason I've stayed for so long is, there's not many opportunities in my industry in my city. I have casually job searched for about 8 months and haven't found anything. I'm starting a more serious job search this week including applying to less senior positions/branching out to different industries.
It's gotten quite clear I now have to leave ASAP, I don't plan on giving notice, is that a good idea ? Should I wait until I have another job lined up ?
