Wasn't sure which subreddit to post this in so I decided here would be good. Anyways I had a 15 minute in-person interview (well less than 15 mostly 10 minute interview) for this job I really wanted for the county I live in. I was not expecting this at all and after finishing the interview I honestly don't know how I did. When I started the interview I was told by both the interviewers that I will have only 15 minutes to answer 3-4 of their questions. They also told me that they will not be answering any questions I have for them and that they won't be taking any resumes, cover letter, references, etc. and if I had questions or wanted to give any documents I can go ahead and send it over to HR.
I was very flabbergasted and taken aback because this is the very first time I ever had an interview like this. Most of my interviews are usually the standard 30 minutes or maybe an hour and they would give me the opportunity to ask any questions I may have about the job or the company/etc. I felt like I was hit with a curveball. I answered the questions they asked and provided examples but I could feel myself getting nervous in the middle of the interview I almost completely blanked out and I felt like I repeated myself a few times. I got nervous I forgot some of the things I wanted to say beforehand because the nerves took over and now I am beating myself over it.
It sucks because this position is something I've really wanted for a really long time and I worked different jobs to get the experience to even apply for it and I feel like I blew it. Let alone I saw the clock when were finished and realized the whole interview was less than 15 minutes... literally 10 minutes on the dot. I was wondering has anyone ever had a 15 minute or less interview? How did it go for you all?
TL;DR Went into an interview confident, found out it wasn't the standard traditional interview setting I was expecting - given only 15 minutes, got nervous and forgot to mention some qualities of mine, then left the interview feeling like WTF did just happen.
