So I can't seem to find entry-level work as a college graduate. I either get ghosted, rejected for unknown reasons, or my application gets shot into the unknown.
The problem is that my area is not a real "happening" place for jobs, despite what the media seems to say about my city. I went down to my local unemployment office (even though I'm underemployed) and they said that employers are desperate for people. I found that strange, considering my track record so far has been lukewarm. I have also found that, unsurprisingly, the jobs that actually look decent get immediately devoured on job boards like a pack of hungry piranhas.
Would contacting the staffing agencies in my area be my best bet? Can someone explain to me how the process works exactly?
