I have a job interview scheduled for tomorrow and then another one day after that. One thing that makes me quite anxious is my (almost) missing tooth. It's not THAT visible when I smile, cause it's an upper first premolar and I have a small mouth, but I'm very aware of it and it makes me self-conscious.
The reason it appears missing is that it broke during chewing something hard on it (it had root canal done before) and my dentist had to drill away most of it to prepare it for a build-up and then a crown. I'm now in a process of getting it fixed, but since there is almost no tooth structure left, I couldn't get a temporary crown to fill the space for these few days.
I personally think I would feel much more at ease telling this to my interviewers before we even start the interview – in a funny, genuine way. The job is not at all focused on looks and presentation whatsoever, but I'd feel much comfortable to get it off my chest first.
Do you think it's a good idea? Thank you.
