I have an internal connection at a company in my city and asked them to refer me to a job I applied for within the company. I got an email from a recruiter today saying I was offered an interview for the same position in a different state, though.
The job posting indicated that there were multiple openings in my city and I linked the job page to my internal connection. I'm not sure if this was just a mistake or if there are no more openings in my city. I'm worried because it's a great company, but I wouldn't be able to relocate.
How should I tell the recruiter that I applied for the job in a different city?
