How to get a cruise ship job

So I've met a very interesting person who did afew contracts for a cruise line. It sounded really nice and something different, also i think i could use a change in scenery. No family or friends so I'm really ok with relocating. I live in a city where I'm not near any ports also i have retail costumer service, kitchen,and warehouse experience. I'm not sure how to go about looking for a cruise line job. I'm pretty much willing to do anything. I've look up some stuff already but blur sure if i should start putting money towards certifications or wait till i land a opportunity. Also could anyone recommend sites to apply on. Any advice would be nice. Thanks
