Friday I have an interview with what is basically my dream company (in my city). They are an up and coming disruptor to an entire industry and I have the ability to get in on the ground floor. This would be huge for my career, as I am still pretty young.
The role is marketing operations. I will essentially be the intermediary between marketing, legal and finance. I would be handling budgeting, forecasting, marketing compliance, road mapping, marketing tech stack management, marketing contract management, integrated marketing calendar management, reporting campaign performance to upper management, and more
I had on interview with HR. Then I was given what is essentially a work sample to prove I could handle the technical aspects of the role. I was told I did very well. I was then interviewed via phone by the hiring manager in what was called a technical interview. I basically went through every part of the job description, told her how I would attack each responsibility, and how I would make an impact. At the end I leveled with her and politely told her I had accepted another job which starts in a week (I was unemployed, I couldn't turn it away), but this is the role I really want. I just wanted to be sure there was time to finish the process if there is interest on their end. She basically told me they were interested and wanted to bring me in for in person interviews. They were ultimately able to move the process along and I was able to get in there Friday of this week. They were very accommodating as I was being a pain in the butt.
I am very well prepared but there are about 9 interviews I will be moving though on Friday, some very high level and impressive people.
In all I will be taking a logic test with the Candidate Experience Manager, and interviewing with: Assistant Marketing Manager, Design Program Manager, Marketing Director, Marketing Analyst, Director of Budget and Expense Management, Compliance Analyst, VP of Marketing, Sr. Marketing Manager of Marketing Innovation.
To be honest my goal is to go in as prepared as possible but it is hard as I don't know what some of these people do or how they fit with my role. Sorry for the long winded write-up. I am just looking any advice. Also what do you think a job like this would pay?
