Manager wants to promote me to “Shift Leader” (assistant manager type position...I guess) after only working at my job (Restaurant) for 2 months.

I been unemployed for 2 years and recently got hired in April

I been grateful to get a job that I enjoy with great co workers. I’m a very fast learner, I can usually pick up a new “skill” (like cooking food or working the register) by just watching someone do it. I’m available almost everyday so whenever my manager ask if I could come in, I do. I work around 30+ hours each week (Mainly 8 hour shifts). My manager likes my work habit so much she wants to promote me to “shift leader” position, since our previous shift leader left to a new job.

I told her “I’ll consider it” with this new promotion I would have to learn how to do almost EVERYTHING Incase they need back up.

I already learned so many positions since I got there and I honestly feeling a bit overworked/overwhelmed.

I don’t really want this “Promotion” what should I tell my manager? I don’t do well with a lot of responsibility and being overwhelmed with work, I feel like this is too much too quick, but I feel bad because I feel like she really wants/needs me to take this position because she needs a new “shift leader”

Feedback is appreciated
