TL;DR I'm paranoid my fractured ankle will cost me a great job.
I'm moving on in the interview process for a fantastic job that couldn't come at a better time as my current company is just not working out.
The thing is I recently (as in a little over a week ago) fractured my ankle outside of work and am currently in the process of getting my state disability. I'm in a CAM boot and crutches and was released to work on some strict conditions that my job decided they couldn't accommodate. My current jobs disability company is handling the situation in less than a thrilling manner (but that's a story for another sub) which is another nail in the coffin to my relationship with the them. Needless to say my sanity (and wallet) needs this change.
So my main concern is do you think my disability status will hinder my job opportunity? I take an assessment this week to move on to the final stage (actual interview) and it may be very possible I don't even see anyone face to face until after my CAM boot and crutches are gone. I don't mind telling them the details and in the long run it won't hinder my ability to work, I just view it as a minor inconvenience. However, my anxiety thinks this might be looked at as a major inconvenience with the new company.
