I lose my job, and then my old manager just called me to say he fought for me in the upper-level meetings and found me another opportunity in another department. What does a great thank-you letter look like in this situation?

I almost cried on the phone. Here’s what I have, so far:

“Hi Old Boss in Another Area of the Company,

Thanks so much for this opportunity. I don't yet know what it is, but I am so so so so so so extremely humbled and thankful.

I want so badly to do you and this company right.

Please, let me know what I can do in terms of anything extra. I cannot thank you enough for your help. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Please, let me know of anything I can do to go above and beyond.

Thanks.”

What should I improve?
