So last week I got an email from a representative from Align technologies who said they found my info on workable.com, offering a work from home data entry based position for $20-$24/hr. it sounded good so i accepted then they set up a chat interview on Glip, that went well and two days later i just got an offer email. it sounds good but still kinda fishy. for one, i cant say for certain since there was a point i was throwing my resume to any job search site out there but workable doesn't ring a bell. ive also never heard of glip. and also, the initial pdf they sent me with the company info/job description etc stated the company would provide equipment (27in imac, printer, headset etc) but now the onboarding info says they will send me a check for home office equipment.
i dunno, it might be legit but i cant help but feel a little iffy about the whole thing. does anyone know anything else about this company or if this position is legit? everything ive looked up on glassdoor seems to check out.
EDIT: CONFIRMED FAKE
just called Align Technology corporate and the lady was already familiar with these emails and verified that was not their company. Align itself is a legitimate company but this is not a legitimate offer from an actual company representative.
so... no one accept jobs or anything from Matthew May the email used was [hr@aligntech-jobs.com](mailto:hr@aligntech-jobs.com), i dont believe the actual Align has a '-' in their email.
