Virtual Assistant Role?

Based on my work experience I’ve had a couple of recruiters message me on LinkedIn offering a part time job as a “Virtual Assistant”. I could totally use the extra money but I’m not even sure what the role entails. I’ve emailed the recruiter back asking for more detail but I figured Reddit would have a more user-friendly response. Does anyone have any first hand experience in this? Knowledge of responsibilities? Pros/Cons? Is it a scam? Any info helps. Thanks !
