Is this even legal?

I just quit my job at a security company that took pay deductions for up to $250 for the uniform. The booklet that was given to me upon employment stated that I must return the uniform if I were to quit even though it's paid in full...

It also states that if I were to not give 2 weeks notice, they would reduce the pay on my last paycheck to minimum wage for hours that I already worked... Due to the amount of bullshit that went on, I didn't bother giving notice.
