Recently I've started a new job as Back Office in a company that is the first distributor of some well-known sports brands in my country and I'm having some trouble seeing how some sales managers work.
When I was first appointed this position in this company I was told to take care of problems we may have with clients and with the actual stores that sell the sports good (because in my office we operate online and sell sports goods online like:sneakers, hoodies, leggings, tracksuits, etc). But now that I've seen the way the Online Sales staff works it makes me mad how little they care about their jobs. They never see the collections, they don't really know the products that they are selling and they don't have any goals themselves about how many sales are they going to make in a day or in a month. They just come to work, reply to messages, joke around with each-other, order the products that a client wants to order and then leave. When a client asks for suggestions they just leave them on read and move on to the next client who actually wants to order something. Oh, and they are always complaining about the stores and how the staff treats them. When they have messed up the order of some client they try to hide it so they don't have to take responsibility and blame the company for it.
I have tried talking to them, making them see that they aren't really doing a good job but they don't care and keep telling me no to care as much as I do because no one else does.
So I came here to look for your advice, what should I do?
I really like this job and I want to show to my superiors that I can do this job and not abuse with their faith but I really can't seem to come through to the Online Sales Staff.
