I am currently looking for retail/ food positions. The problem I keep having is that my references are all old, so I can't use them. I haven't worked recently outside of internships so I don't really have any employment history. I haven't got the impression that any of my supervisors liked me and I haven't been able to get references from them. Do I leave my employment history blank?? If I do list my volunteer positions as work should I still put down my supervisors names and phone numbers and possibly say not to contact them? Say they will not remember me or something? I am planning on handing out resumes tomorrow at the very least. This just feels kind of futile right now and I am not sure how to proceed from here, especially with online applications. I would appreciate any help and/or advice you can give me in my job hunt.
