Hello all, just posing a quick question here. I am about two years removed from college and make about 125k a year working in tech in the bay area. However, it's not really what I envisioned myself doing, I'm still writing, just not creatively. The company is amazing and it has benefits most would only dream about. Except the fact that I got my degree in English Literature to be a book editor. The problem is when I originally interviewed starting salaries were closer to 25-30k in New York City. I still would love to one day do that, but I can't even imagine on surviving anywhere close to that amount. What would you do?

Would you take a significant paycut to be in a dying industry that you love?
