Been working at a place in a sales position for 4+ years. Small, family owned business. The majority owner is 96, has dementia, and obsessed with coming to work every day. So he comes to work every day with his caretaker. It's exhausting.
His daughter runs the business now, and wants to retire.
We have an outside accounting firm to do all the accounting shit. We'll call the owner of the accounting firm George. We just found out that George bought a portion of the business and him and his son (who just graduated college and hasn't had a real job) are going to be running things. It's seems ethically inappropriate and like just a terrible idea, but whatever. This should happen sometime in May.
I don't enjoy this job. I'm not even sure what I'm still doing here. I am going on vacation in June for a week and can't reschedule that trip.
Should I stick it out or start looking for new work now? Being bossed around by a 22 year old kid with no work experience sounds fucking miserable. But I also don't want to start a new job and then immediately go on vacation.
