I had 2 interviews this past week. Both for jobs that I know I would do extremely well in, and where I would be happy. Interview #1: Position: VIP Front Desk Manager (at a hotel/casino). I was an assistant hotel manager 10 years ago at their competing casino. So I felt very confident going in. There was no awkwardness, lots of laughing, I really felt like I did great in this interview. Interview #2: position: Property Manager for condos I wasn’t feeling very confident in this. I was a property manager for 9 years...but the difference was I managed storage units. So I was not confident whatsoever. And it definitely showed. The lady who was interviewing me told me that this was not going to be a formal interview...it’s basically them learning about us because they need someone to mesh well. These others working there...I have the same bubbly personality that they do. But I was so damn nervous. And within 15 min of me leaving...she emailed me a very generic response about how I’m not right for the company. Okuuuur..... So now....I’m panicking about interview #1....she said she’d call me for a 2nd interview, but it’s now been 6 days.
