Who do I send my (unsolicited) resume to?

Hi all, I'm a graphic designer working in NYC and I'm looking for a new job. I would really like to work for a creative agency or a record label (I interviewed at a major record label when I first moved here so I think I have a good chance)!

I'm applying for jobs that are posted online, but I want to try sending my resume & portfolio even to places that I want to work at but don't have job postings online. My question is, who do I send this to? Do I have to be a stalker and find the creative director's LinkedIn or something? What's the best approach? Thanks for your help!
