I interviewed for a job across the country that I really wanted about a month ago. The interview went incredibly well. I followed up with a thank you note and got a really positive response back. They gave me a timeframe on when I should hear back.
That timeframe came and went so I followed up and they said that they were in the middle of making their decision and expected to make an offer within as early as a week.
This whole time they’ve been communicative and responsive. I didn’t hear back in their new timeframe so I sent a second follow up and now there’s no response.
I realize this probably just means I didn’t get the job but I’m disappointed that they can’t take the time to notify me. I literally used my own resources to fly across the country for the last interview. I’m still holding out some hope that maybe another delay occurred, but the lack of a response this time is difficult.
