Received job offer, asked to negotiate salary. Employer said they would get back to me next business day, but it’s been almost a week.

Got an offer for a position in my field last Wednesday 1/23. They gave me details of salary and benefits and asked if I could let them know if I was accepting the job by the end of the week. I called Friday early afternoon with a few questions and asked if the salary was negotiable. They said depending on what I asked. I asked for $3/hour more, and they said they would have to check with company owner and would let me know by the end of the day or by Monday. It’s now Thursday and I haven’t heard back. Should I call again? Honestly I’d take the job without the extra $3/hour but I’ve never taken a job without negotiating a few dollars more. I’d go for less. I think what I asked for is still within the range of salary in my field (occupational therapy) in my state [PA]. How long should I wait before calling again?
