My entire team hates me (24/F) after getting offered a promotion to manager after 3 months of working at job...What do I do?

Basically I started off as purely a Christmas casual in the designer section of a department store. I have had previous assistant manager experience at my last job, which my current manager must have quickly picked up on and began questioning my skills and experience in aspects of retail and management. From my first day I worked my absolute butt off, putting in as much effort and time as I could and did everything my manager did quickly and diligently. I didn’t think of myself as particularly noticeable, I was just used to having a hard work ethic because of my previous jobs.

A few weeks ago my department manager and floor manager pulled me aside to offer me an assistant manager position which was crazy after being there only a few months. I said to them I’d have to review the pay and hours first but other than that I would be highly interested. Before I’d even signed anything, one coworker overheard a manager discussing me being offered the job and quickly spread it around my whole team. Most of them are similar to my age and although not the absolute best friends, they must have liked me enough to previously add me on social media, invite me to drinks, etc.

A few faithful friends told me yeah I was the subject of bitchiness and mostly were comments like “she JUST started here”, “she doesn’t know the company” “she’s been here basically a day” . Some stood up for me by telling others I’m very much qualified from my last job and work my butt off. Most have began being super dry, some even flat out ignore me when I say hello. Mind you I still haven’t even signed anything or made it official, just in training to get a feel for the responsibilities. But everyone in the team I’ll be expected to perhaps manage hate me over something that’s not even offical!

What do I do? How can I lead a team that completely resents me? At this point I don’t even know if I’m 100% going to take it so if I don’t then what will I do?
