Should I stay or go?

I need some insight.

I currently work full time as a graphic designer. I make good money, I like the job, but the commute is a little insane - an hour, travelling all the main highways leading into the heart of the city. I have benefits, vacation, a safe office. It’s a small company and everyone is great. The hours are great - 8:30-4:30 Monday to Thursday and off at 3pm on Fridays. These hours have me travelling in rush hour all the time. By GPS, the commute should take me about 53 minutes one day, but usually ends up taking closer to 1.5hours on a good day, much longer if it snows and people forget how to drive.

I was just offered a different job, and they matched my wage and benefits. A later start, but also a later end (10-6:30), which would allow me to completely miss rush hour. The location would allow me to bypass most of the major highways or go the opposite way of most traffic, which would make the commute faster despite being approximately the same distance. I drove it the other day in afternoon rush hour and it took exactly 52 minutes, there was no stop and go traffic, nothing. Job would involve web design and social media stuff at a big equestrian facility. Occasionally, I may be asked to help out with barn work which is okay because my favourite job growing up was working in a barn.

I always said I’d go back to barn work in a heartbeat if I could make a living wage, but I’m torn. Help... how do you choose between two good jobs with the same wage and overall similar perks?
