In short I keep finding my self criticised on unfairly. I no longer find the work I do fulfilling and constant promises of job change into a more fulfilling area always end up never happening and there is always something occurring preventing me being shown the required skills / information to transition into this area. Especially when the role I work in, the work load has flat lined and yet I'm being criticised for wasting time as I'm Not working when there is no work to be doing.
The only thing I can think of keeping me there is how much pressure it will put on my work colleague who has become a good friend over the past 4 years.
I want to leave but feel guilty for the pressure my friend will come under and I financially cannot afford to be out of work. I also feel like I no longer like working in the IT industry.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.
